Troubleshooting

The following error: "The game crashed. The crash report folder named *** next to game executable. It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!" is likely an issue with the graphics system on your machine.

Direct X 11 or later must be installed to run Makers Empire.

 1. Make sure you have DirectX installed:

Go to this site to install it:

2. Update your graphics card drivers:
Visit the manufacturer of your machine (e.g. Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, ASUS etc). If you have no luck try these:

3. Test that your video card works:
In Windows open a "Run As.." dialog by holding the Windows Key + "R". When the dialog opens type "dxdiag" (without quotes) and press "Yes".

Switch to the "Display" tab and verify that "DirectDraw Acceleration", "Direct3D Acceleration" and "AGP Texture Acceleration" are enabled.

4. Run in "Administrator" mode:
If it still does not work, try running "Makers Empire" as the Administrator user by right-clicking on the icon and choosing "Run as administrator".

5. Send us your dxdiag report:
We may be able to assist you to resolve the issue if you send us a dxdiag report from your machine. Please see https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/4028644/windows-open-and-run-dxdiagexe
