The latest version of Makers Empire 3D (from version 4.4.1.4) should now connect successfully on internet connections that go through a proxy server, without requiring any authentication details to be supplied.

If you are having trouble connecting on a Windows device, please make sure you have the latest version from https://dash.makersempire.com/win/MakersEmpire3D.msi and contact us if the problem continues.


Instructions for Older Versions of Makers Empire 3D

Older versions of Makers Empire 3D may require proxy authentication details to be specified. 

This information can be supplied directly in the app by the user or set up for all users of the machine. Usually it is best to go through the in-app process described in this article once to verify the details are correct and then set up all machines afterwards.

How To Set Proxy Details In-App

When starting the app, you may see the following error screen:

If you do see this screen, please ensure the proxy details are filled out correctly for your internet connection, then press TRY AGAIN.

If you do not see that screen, you will need to create a new offline user or log in to an existing one and then press the tab with your username in the top right of the screen:


Then press the Settings button on this screen and tick the Enable Proxy box:

Fill out the details for your internet setup, then press APPLY.

If the details are correct and you still are not able to connect, please check in a web browser that you can access http://3d.makersempire.com - you should see:

If you don't see this message, try adding an exception (also known as whitelisting) the url https://3d.makersempire.com (or with wildcards, http*://*.makersempire.com)
