Makers Empire can be used without an internet connection making it a robust and portable design solution. If you do lose your internet connection mid-design, don't worry - your work is safe.

If you are currently offline, but using a device which you have previously used while online, you can log in with your existing account on that same device. Follow the steps in this help article.

If you do not have an internet connection and cannot use a device which you've previously used while online, or you're using Makers Empire for the first time, you'll need to create a new account.

One of the many great things about Makers Empire is that you can use it offline.

In offline mode, you can still access:
• Create tools: Shaper, Blocker, Character, Toy Designer, Cogger & Doodler
• Profile / Hero editor
• Training Lab
• Challenge Central
• My Designs
​• Gallery (limited functionality)

In offline mode, these areas will be temporarily unavailable:
• Maze Mania (previously called Game Zone)
• Competition Arena
• Mission Maker

The first thing to know if you lose your internet connection while using Makers Empire is that your work is safe. All work and progress is stored locally (i.e. on your device) until your internet connection is re-established and we can sync your activity.

Maze Mania (previously called Game Zone)
​If you are playing a maze in Maze Mania when you lose your internet connection, you can finish or replay your current maze. Once you leave that maze you won't be able to load any more mazes. Once you leave Maze Mania, you won't be able to re-enter until your internet connection is re-established.

Competition Arena
​If you are making a design to enter the monthly competition when you lose your internet connection, you can keep working on your design, then simply leave the Competition Arena when you're done. The design will be stored locally until your internet connection is re-established. Once you leave the Competition Arena area, you won't be able to re-enter until your internet connection is re-established.

To submit your entry, return to the Competition Arena where your design will be waiting, and click the Enter button when you're ready. 

Mission Maker
​If you are completing a design mission when you lose your internet connection, you can finish the design. The design will be stored locally until your internet connection is re-established and will then be synced. Once you leave the Mission Maker area, you won't be able to re-enter until your internet connection is re-established.
