Why do older Chromebooks not allow Android apps to run?

Some older ChromeOS devices, after about 10 years of support, may opt into extended updates—but this disables Android apps to maintain long-term security and stability. This means that those devices will not be able to run Makers Empire.

All ChromeOS devices released in 2021 or later automatically receive extended updates, and maintain access to the Play Store and Android apps, so they will work as normal.
