How do I change the nozzle on an Adventurer 4 3D printer?

If you want to replace, or change the nozzle that is in the Adventurer 4, then please follow these instructions.

Step 1.

The first thing to do before changing the nozzle in your Adventurer 4, is to unload any filament. You can see how to do this here.

NOTE: If you are unable to unload filament due to a jam or blockage, please swap to the instructions here.

Step 2.

Once you have successfully unloaded the filament, please turn the printer OFF.

Step 3.

The third thing to do, is to remove the current nozzle, and install the next nozzle. To do this, simply squeeze the two tabs on the extruder head together, and firmly pull down on the nozzle itself. Unpack your next nozzle from it's bag, and firmly push it up into the extruder head, making sure the two front clips click back out.

Step 4.

Next, you need to run through the 'Nozzle Change' menu within Flashprint. Tap on 'Maintain' > 'ChangeExtruder'. On the next two screens, you'll need to input the temperature offset (written on the bag the nozzle came in), and also select which nozzle you are installing into the printer.

Step 5.

Because you've installed a new nozzle, you will need to re-calibrate the printer to ensure it's going to print correctly with this new nozzle. You can see how to do this here.

Step 6.

The final step is to ensure that Flashprint knows that you've changed the nozzle.

NOTE: If you are replacing the nozzle, instead of changing to a different size or type, you may skip this step.

In Flashprint 5, click the nozzle icon in the bottom left, then click 'Nozzle Size' and select the size nozzle you've just installed. From now on, this is the nozzle size that Flashprint 5 will use when slicing a model.
