Privacy settings let teachers control the size of their students' design community on Makers Empire. By specifying the size of your design community, you control how widely your students’ designs are shared and commented on.
To change settings, visit the Teacher's Dashboard at www.makersempire.com and click on the settings icon. Adjust the dropdown list to your desired setting - choose from worldwide (everyone), all schools, only your school or only your class.
If you have concerns about students being identified by their usernames, students can use a combination of their first and last name to create their username, rather than their full name. For example, 'jeanettem' should be clear enough so that the teacher and classmates can identify the individual student, yet still non-specific enough to avoid identification by casual users.
Individual Student Data
Comments are shown by default. These can be disabled for your school - students will not be able to see or post comments.
Sensitive designs are hidden by default. Note that this is a text search on words such as "gun", "rifle" in the title or description of a design. Incorrectly classified designs can be reported and will be removed from the filter.
